Application Of Low Temperature Boiling Dryer in Low Temperature Drying Field

Sep 25, 2025|

The low-temperature boiling dryer, also known as an agitated fluidized bed dryer, is a fluidized bed dryer equipped with an agitating and dispersing device. The fluidizing section is integrated with the agitating and dispersing device. The mechanical action of the agitating and dispersing mechanism disperses and separates sticky materials during the fluidization process, aiding fluidization and improving production efficiency and reducing costs. It is suitable for materials that tend to agglomerate or become sticky during feeding or drying, as well as heat-sensitive materials with low temperature tolerance.
The low-temperature boiling dryer broadens the application range of fluidized bed dryers and is particularly suitable for drying materials with poor fluidity, prone to agglomeration, or with uneven particle size distribution. These include fermented feed, fermented soybean meal, fermented cottonseed meal, fermented rapeseed meal, fermented peanut meal, fermented bran, low-temperature drying of sludge, fireproofing glue (EPS), flame retardants, polymer colloids, and polyacrylamide. It is also used for low-temperature drying of sludge, utilizing steam, thermal oil, or waste heat from boiler exhaust, achieving excellent results. The inlet air temperature ranges from 80-220°C. Both continuous and batch operations are possible. For materials with high moisture content, high viscosity, and poor air permeability, the multi-stage agitator rakes rotate at high speed, stirring and breaking up the material, loosening the bed layer and ensuring full contact between the material and the heat medium. This reduces agglomeration and channeling, prevents dead bed accumulation, and allows the bed surface to be emptied and wet materials to be promptly removed from the discharge area.

A steam heat exchanger or heat exchange tubes can be installed within the bed, implementing buried pipe fluidization technology. This generates high-temperature radiant heat, acting as an internal component, accelerating water evaporation, reducing equipment size, and enhancing drying efficiency. The hot air primarily fluidizes the bed layer, significantly saving energy.

The corrugated stepped gas distribution plate, with its porosity varying along the bed layer, is ideal for high-viscosity and high-humidity materials, extending its operating life and effectively preserving its shape and gloss.

Separate chamber operation facilitates adjustment of air volume and pressure within each chamber, making it particularly beneficial for heat-sensitive materials. The upper chamber features a diffuser structure, reducing local air velocity and minimizing exhaust dust entrainment. By introducing cold air and cold water, the stirring internal heating fluidized bed dryer can be transformed into a cooling machine or a drying and cooling all-in-one machine, making it have the functions of both drying and cooling.
